The Claire Trevor School of the Arts (CTSA) annual Summer Academies in the Arts provide hands-on, immersive educational arts experiences for students ages 8-22 years old in art, dance, drama, music, and technology on campus at UC Irvine (UCI).
From Chamber Music to Expressive Robotics, these summer camps are college-preparatory intensives that allow young artists to refine their craft or discover their passions in the arts. CTSA prides itself on creating equitable access to these programs, and has provided scholarships and financial aid to many campers in order to make these transformative experiences available to all deserving families.

This scholarship drive will ultimately help send more underserved students to the Summer Academies in the Arts by generating much-needed funding for an expanded scholarship program. Your donation eliminates food insecurity by providing lunch for two students during a Summer Academy day, or secures reliable transportation for a student to get to and from UCI safely.
Your donation ensures students have everything they need for a typical Summer Academy day including paints, sheet music, Vex robotics components, lunch and transportation, removing barriers to a student's participation.
Software, like CAD and ProTools, are essential to several of our Academies. Your donation helps prepare students for careers in the arts and technology by providing them access to these professional programs.
Your donation supports one-to-one instruction for students from our outstanding teaching artists who are UCI alumni, and graduate and undergraduate students. The one-to-one ratio allows for teaching artists to effectively convey the complexities of their disciplines to young students.
Working in professional theatres, galleries, and rehearsal spaces provides students the opportunity to explore their creativity just as professionals do. Your donation provides students a springboard into their professional creative practice.
