Nuestra Graduación 2023

Nuestra Graduación, formerly known as Raza Graduation, began in 1978. It started as a small and intimate backyard event to celebrate graduating Latinx students. Now years later, Nuestra Graduación has become one of UC Irvine's largest cultural graduations with over 300 participating students and over 4,000 guests. One of the unique aspects of this event is that it is completely student-run and student-led.

Throughout the years, this graduation has moved from various locations and as the number of participants continues to grow each year, the ceremony has been officially moved to the Bren Events Center. This is the largest venue on campus that can fit all participants and guests.

During the academic year, students work hard and diligently to fundraise all the money to pay for this event. However, with a big venue comes greater responsibility and cost. The cost of the Bren Events Center is $30,000. Aside from paying for a venue, there are different costs for sashes, food, photography, music and other important miscellaneous things that make the event memorable and unique. 

For this year’s graduation, the goal is to fundraise $80,000 and we are currently under our goal by $20,000. We humbly ask for your help to reach our goal to suffice the costs of the Bren Events Center. Your gift, of any mount, will help graduating students celebrate their four years of arduous work and achievements. 

Nuestra Graduación aspires to be a celebration that highlights the achievement in higher education of the Latinx community at UCI. Your support today, no matter the amount, will help to amplify student voices and create a space that celebrates diversity and Latinx accomplishments.
