We are aiming to raise $15,000 to help purchase the final components such as our rocket skin, flight hardware, and the tools to initiate the manufacturing process of PTR. Our team will launch PTR in the Dollar per Foot challenge proposed by Friends of Amateur Rocketry. The DPF challenge is open all to all college students across the country, requiring them to build a liquid propellant, single-stage rocket that must also be recovered using a two stage recovery system. About the team:
We are a student organization here at UCI, providing good multidisciplinary engineering practices to undergrad students while pushing the boundaries of collegiate rocketry through design and fabrication of liquid bi-propellant rockets. Our team consists of roughly 50 members, split into six sub-teams which are:
The designing, manufacturing, and testing of rockets--at any stage--requires a tremendous amount of funds. Similar to how a building is built from the ground up--one brick at a time--your support at any level provides us another 'brick' that will hold the entirety of the future that we envision here at UCI Rocket Project.
