The UCI School of Medicine shines on the world stage as an enterprising champion of innovation and discovery. As an integral part of the Susan and Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences and UCI Health, we are collaborating with partners campuswide to advance high-impact medical research, educate a diverse health workforce and deliver evidence-based, patient-centered healthcare.

This collaboration can be seen in the planning for a new state-of-the-art medical complex — our version of a healthcare environment for the future. The proposed UCI Health Medical Complex in Irvine will house a teaching hospital and an advanced medical outpatient facility, both dedicated to specialty services, including comprehensive care for cancer, neurosciences, orthopedics, and advanced medical and surgical procedures. In addition, the medical complex will be supported by an emergency department and house the UCI Center for Child Health. Patients will find the exceptional treatments, clinical trials and integrative, whole person therapies they expect from Orange County’s only academic health system.

• UCI School of Medicine’s Dean's Special Projects: Gifts to the School of Medicine Annual Fund allow us to Discover, Teach and Heal. They enable us to advance our strategic initiatives, respond quickly to opportunities as they arise, and support our students and faculty where they need it the most.

• UCI School of Medicine’s Graduate Studies Discretionary Fund: Support the next generations of researchers at the UCI School of Medicine. All gifts to this fund will support our graduate students within the Office of Graduate Studies.

• The School of Medicine Alumni Chapter: The School of Medicine Alumni Chapter has committed to matching all dollars up to $10,000 to start a School of Medicine Alumni Scholarship for medical students. *Once this fund reaches the minimum for establishing an endowed fund at UCI, currently $25,000, it will transition into an endowment to support medical students for many years to come. Before this minimum is reached, all funds raised in this campaign will be used to provide current-use support for the School of Medicine Alumni Chapter.
