During this season of giving, please consider supporting graduate education. Our graduate students and postdocs are the lifeblood of our university and are the future leaders of this world. We still have until the end of the month to reach our goal of $15,000! As a reminder, UCI Graduate Division has committed funds to double each donation up to a total of $5,000 in support of reaching our $15,000 goal.
We need your help to support scholars like Nikki Fiore and Bonnie Cuthbert. Fiore, a PhD Candidate in the department of the earth sciences, is set to graduate in December of 2021. Despite significant delays in research due to wildfires, COVID-19 and other setbacks, your funding helped Nikki stay on her feet.
Cuthbert is currently working as a Postdoctoral scholar in the department of Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at UC Irvine. She is the Co-Chair of the UCI Postdoctoral Association (PDA). PDA is a group of enthusiastic volunteer postdocs that are able to support the postdoc community by providing professional development programs as well as social/networking events. PDA identifies resources and creates partnerships throughout campus, with the goal of enhancing the professional development and experience of over 300 postdocs.
