CEE@UCI Undergraduate Scholarship Fund

We are the CEE (Civil and Environmental Engineering)@UCI Affiliates, a volunteer organization of professional engineers in Civil and Environmental Engineering, who delivers excellent projects and services to improve and sustain a high quality of life for residents in Southern California. Our mission is to provide effective industrial guidance and support to the Students, Faculty, and the CEE Programs at UCI. That includes 1) broadening and enhancing CEE students’ experience with more industrial involvement, such as internship opportunities and symposiums given by professionals; 2) assisting in program/curriculum development to better prepare the students for the demands of today’s technology and society and for handling challenges of this changing world.

The CEE@UCI Affiliates currently sponsors three annual undergraduate scholarships of $1,000 each for CEE students. They are Jan Scherfig Scholarship for Freshman, Gary Guymon Scholarship for Sophomore, and Robin Shepherd Scholarship for Junior. With your generous donation in academic year 2021-2022, we were able to award three additional $500 scholarships at each level. The scholarship recipients truly appreciate the financial support and recognition of their hard work, and are encouraged to continue pursuit of their academic goals. Recipients also are able to focus more on program activities due to reduced financial stress, and are motivated to pay dividends on the investment in future. One 2021-2022 Robin Shepherd Scholarship recipient said, “Thank you for providing this award that will surely assist me with my goals here at UCI. I will continue to work hard and give back to my community as we all strive toward a successful future.” Please help us create the next generation of engineering leaders who will be giving back to our profession in the years ahead.

Our fundraising goal for the 2022-2023 academic year scholarships is $6,000 in total, two $1,000 awards for each scholarship listed above.
