Hello again, race car friends and family!
Thank you so much for your contributions so far! We are working our way towards our goal and we couldn’t do it without you! Currently, the team is recovering from a hectic last few weeks and gearing up to begin designing the next race car. In the meantime, leadership has been busy reviewing over 100 applications of talented and passionate engineers to help us reach our goals next year. We couldn’t be more excited to meet these new candidates and introduce them to a project that so many people are passionate about– including you!
We were able to learn a lot from competing in the 2023 FSAE Michigan Competition and are now working to implement those learnings into our next car. Going through the technical inspection portion, we’ve learned that we need to focus on reliability, documentation, and validation. We’ve been reminded that the competition is first and foremost an engineering competition. We plan on keeping this in mind, and our next car will be a car that we are even more proud of!
There are plans to redecorate the current car as well; now that competition is over, the team will have more free time to focus on the aesthetics of PPE! Your donation will ensure that your name will be written somewhere on the new and improved PPE (subject to space restraints).

Hello everyone!
Thank you so much to our donors for getting us almost 20% of the way to our goal! While the funds collected from this year’s Zotfunder will not be in use until next year, we wanted to showcase the possibilities that your donation could bring to us by updating you all on how the team was at the competition in Michigan last week!
Last week, a dozen members of the team were able to travel to Michigan to compete in the 2023 FSAE Michigan Competition. We are so proud of these highly skilled student engineers, and we are grateful that they have the opportunity to get a better glimpse of what a career in the automotive industry might look like and connect with other student engineers as well as industry professionals.
At Michigan, our team put our newly painted and decaled car through competition’s static events, which evaluate design and assembly. We ran into several issues, which we worked late nights to fix. Ultimately, our car did not pass the final technical inspection test, which means we were unable to race. However, the team is taking this as a learning opportunity to reflect on what happened and be more competitive next year. We will be returning to competition!
We are beyond excited for next year’s possibilities! Your contribution, no matter the amount, is vital in fostering the next generation of professional engineers.

Due to our inability to have complex items machined in-house, a donation of this size would allow us to have parts machined by external companies and buy spare parts for testing or in case of breakage. A donation this size could also cover travel expenses of our crucial members to the competition in Michigan, allowing for more hands on deck during competition.
