We are reaching out to you today to encourage your support of our collegiate choir's mission to expand our program and provide extraordinary opportunities for our talented and ambitious singers. The choir at the University of California, Irvine is more than just a group of individuals; we are a family bonded by our passion for creating music together. 
Our choir, composed of students from diverse backgrounds pursuing a wide array of academic majors, is a testament to the power of unity through music. In past years, the UCI choirs have achieved remarkable feats, showcasing our unwavering commitment to musical excellence. From sold-out concerts to recording sessions to collaborations with notable composers such as Ola Gjielo and Shawn Kirchner, our journey has been both rigorous and rewarding. In June 2023, we conducted a groundbreaking international tour to Ireland, making us the only UC choir to achieve such an accomplishment in the 2022-2023 academic year.
Currently, the UCI choirs are involved in numerous projects and performances that require support auxiliary to the funds we receive from our department. On top of our quarterly concerts, UCI Choral Activities was recently signed to Signum Record Label, known for working with vocal groups such as Voces8 and the King's Singers. We are working towards an upcoming recording session with Grammy Award-winning producer David Frost to create UCI’s premiere EP with Signum. Additionally, we're preparing to travel to New York and perform at Carnegie Hall with composer and pianist Ola Gjielo.
At the helm of our ensemble is renowned conductor Dr. Irene Messoloras whose unwavering commitment spearheads the development of our program. While her efforts are truly spectacular, the resources at her disposal are finite. Your financial support has the potential to elevate our goals from aspirations to unforgettable achievements.
With your generous donations, we aim to continue this momentum for years to come. Aside from covering expenses such as studio costs, artist fees, program participation fees and travel expenses, your support will enable us to invest in recording sessions and music videos, allowing us to share our artistry with a broader audience and leave a lasting legacy of our performances. In addition to these exciting ventures, your donations will help us acquire essential resources such as sheet music, instruments, and rehearsal spaces, ensuring our choir has everything it needs to thrive. Our goal is to take our choir to new heights by embarking on transformative journeys of cultural immersion through travel opportunities with every member of our choir. It is our firm belief that no member should ever be unable to be a part of these experiences due to financial constraints.
