Fuel Student Innovation with a New 3D Printer & Tool Cabinet!

At the UC Irvine ANTrepreneur Center, we believe that innovation starts with access to the right tools. Every day, student founders and makers use our Mini Maker Room to build prototypes, design new products, and turn ideas into businesses.

But our current 3D printer is outdated, limiting what students can create. By helping us purchase a Bambu Lab H2D 3D printer and a professional tool cabinet, you’re giving UC Irvine students the resources they need to experiment, iterate, and bring their ideas to life.

The new Bambu Lab H2D will completely transform our Maker Room by offering features our current equipment simply can’t match:

• Print faster and with greater precision – saving students hours of trial and error while producing cleaner, more professional results.
• Larger, more advanced prints – enabling bigger, multi-color pieces with tougher materials, less waste, and more sophisticated designs.
• Special cutter tool head – allowing students to cut vinyl, stickers, leather, labels, and even greeting cards in any shape they need, all on one machine.
• Beginner-friendly laser cutting – the built-in laser cutter is easier to use than our current Muse Laser, which has a steep learning curve and complex software. This lowers the barrier to entry for first-time makers.
• Strong community support – Bambu has an active, enthusiastic user community, making tutorials and troubleshooting accessible for students.

The new tool cabinet will keep our Maker Room organized and ensure students have quick, safe access to the tools they need to bring their ideas to life.
