Thank you to everyone who supported our fall 2025 campaign!
On behalf of the UC Irvine Rocket Project Solids team, thank you for your generous contributions to our fall 2025 ZotFunder campaign. Your support provides the necessary capital to advance our technical objectives and ensures our members have the resources required to apply engineering theory to high power rocketry. The commitment you have shown to our project directly enables hands-on learning that defines the UC Irvine engineering experience.
The funds raised during this campaign will be used to procure essential flight components and raw materials for our upcoming launch vehicle. Specifically, these resources allow us to purchase propellant ingredients and motor casing hardware required for our static fire testing phase. With these components secured, the team is now transitioning from the design and procurement stage into active manufacturing and assembly. This shift is critical as we work toward a flight ready system to compete in the International Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC) in the summer.
In addition to hardware, these donations will help offset the travel and registration costs for students participating in upcoming competitions and test launches. The current balance of funds raised puts the Rocket Project Solids team in a significantly stronger position to execute our mission. Your investment ensures that our engineers can focus on technical rigor and safety rather than financial constraints. We are grateful for your partnership in helping us reach new heights.
With sincere gratitude,
UC Irvine Rocket Project Solids Team
Giving Tuesday Update
In honor of Giving Tuesday, the UC Irvine Rocket Project Solids team is excited to share that we have raised $2,675, reaching 26% of our fundraising goal. This momentum is driven by the generosity of our 27 donors, whose support is directly funding the propellant casting, custom machining, and avionics development needed for our upcoming competition vehicle.
We are incredibly grateful for this early support as we design our new Level 3 rocket to compete at the 2026 International Rocketry Engineering Competition (IREC). After placing 2nd in the 10K SRAD solids category last year with "Azula," your contributions ensure we have the resources to innovate, test rigorous safety systems, and challenge for the top spot.
Thank you to everyone who has made a gift so far. In the spirit of Giving Tuesday, please consider taking the next step and sharing our ZotFunder campaign with your network. Whether via social media or a quick email to a friend, spreading the word is vital to helping us reach our $10,000 goal and giving our 30 undergraduate engineers the opportunity to fly.
$25
Fuel our Spark
Your $25 fuels avionics development and will help us obtain valuable in-flight data that will help us recover our rocket safely.
$100
Build the Body
Your gift supports the purchase of the main body of our rocket, like our nose cone and body tubes.
$250
Machining Magic
Your support funds the machining of custom components like nozzles, bulkheads, and thrust plates that ensure the safety of our rocket!
$500
Fire It Up
Your contribution helps us test our student designed rocket motors! More tests = safer, smarter rockets.
