Hello everyone!
We want to sincerely thank everyone who supported Irvine HackerFab through our fall 2025 ZotFunder campaign. The support we received has put us in a much stronger position to move forward with our projects this year.
Over the next few months, these funds will be used to purchase critical components needed to complete assembly of our second-generation Tube Furnace, Spin Coater, Lithostepper and sputtering system. Combined with existing resources, this funding allows us to fill key gaps that were previously blocking progress and allows us to focus on preparing these systems for UC Irvine’s Winter Design Review this quarter.
Specifically, we will be allocating these funds for laboratory tools such as $100 for micropipettes, photoresist, gloves, 3D printing spools and other lab chemicals.
Approximately $200-250 of the funds will be used to build the RF power supply components (capacitors, transistors) used in the sputtering chamber.
With the remaining funds, we will also be purchasing smaller vacuum chamber parts (KF adaptors, rings).
