Grow with Us! Support the Undergraduate Learning Hub!

Have you heard the news? After 50 years, the Learning and Academic Resource Center (LARC) is becoming the Undergraduate Learning Hub, and we invite you to be a part of the transformation!

LARC has long been a leader of student success at UC Irvine, and as we move away from the specialized, quarter-long LARC tutorials we’ve been known for, we are responding to student needs in exciting new ways. As a campuswide center for learning excellence, the Undergraduate Learning Hub will function as the central engine for training, quality, coordination and academic learning skills across the university. Best of all, services will be completely free of charge.

The new Hub will provide academic coaching for students and enhanced training certification for tutors. The Hub will also serve students by:

  • Helping them connect with tutoring and academic support across campus.
  • Providing high-impact academic skill-building workshops, presentations and events for all UC Irvine students.
  • Hosting campuswide Study Jams and collaborative programming.
  • Creating a digital skill-building resource library, including self-paced modules, videos and study materials.

Hub Mentors play a vital role in this new model. Our small team of talented undergraduates will support students who visit the Hub by facilitating one-on-one mentoring and group Study Jam sessions. 

Our new mission creates a unique opportunity for alumni and supporters of the program to impact the lives of present and future Anteaters. Your generous support will help fund an additional Hub Mentor to help students succeed in challenging classes. Every dollar counts, and no gift is too small!

Plus, any amount you donate will be matched by the generosity of the Cheng Family Foundation, up to $5,000!
