Hey! We're Improv Revolution and we're here to bring you an amazing comedy festival for FREE!
The Coup de Comedy is a FREE four-day comedy festival consisting of panels, workshops, and shows, available to the community for FREE. The Coup de Comedy 2017 will welcome back some old friends to teach and play and introduce exciting new acts. This year we also have an exciting new partnership with the Global Improvisation Initiative (GII) and Chapman University to present an incredible international improvisation symposium. Literally, guests from all over the world will be joining us to share (via workshops, panels, and presentations) how improvisation impacts the world - don't believe us, check out these confirmed VIPs here including KEITH JOHNSTONE himself! We can't wait to show you what we've got in store, including our Revolutionary Comedy Award honoring our special VIP celebrity guest!
This year will be our biggest yet, with the most talented artists in the world!

The Coup de Comedy is the pride of Improv Revolution, and we're working hard to build our comedy community at UCI, in Orange County, and beyond. Offering a quality festival for free is of utmost importance to us because we believe the joy of comedy should be accessible by all!

Improv Revolution (or iRev) is a 6-year-old undergraduate improvisational ensemble at UC Irvine that performs long form and short form improv on campus and local festivals. We lead weekly workshops for individuals interested in improvisation for free. We are involved in community outreach with local schools and perform with other community teams and college groups.
