Hello all,

It is with great sorrow that we inform everyone of our team's recent decision. With the COVID-19 situation creating increasingly unsafe conditions for our team to travel internationally, our board has chosen to not participate in the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival this summer. We understand that questions may arise in regards to your generous donations. We have decided that we will be using these donations to fund for next year's trip to Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival instead. If there are any questions or concerns regarding our decision, please email uci.dragonboat@gmail.com and we will do our best to address them. Finally, we would like to thank everyone for their tremendous support, whether it was through donations or social media coverage. Our UCIDB family is so thankful to have friends and family such as you all. We all wish everyone strength during these difficult times.

With the conclusion of our crowdfunding campaign last week, we want to thank you all one last time for your support. Although we weren't able to reach our goal, we were able to reach more than half of our goal, which is more than enough for us to feel appreciated and supported by all of you! We are currently in the final stages of finalizing our roster for the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival, and we will soon be able to allocate the funds to everyone. Regardless of whether you have donated, shared this campaign to your social medias, or just supported us on the sidelines, we appreciate each and every one of you for your support in different forms. On behalf of our crew and our entire team, we want to thank you all for your help in helping to reduce these large costs in order for us to participate in this race!

With this campaign coming to a close very soon, we want to give another huge thank you to everyone who has donated to our campaign and has supported us through every step of the way. We are currently beginning the workings of Vancouver logistics to get the ball rolling for this race. With less than a week left in our campaign, we want to once again ask for your assistance in sharing this campaign with friends and families! With every donation, big or small, each of our student paddler's financial burden is eased. Donations of any amount will help bring us even a little closer to our goal. Once again, thank you to everyone who has donated or has supported us in any way! We are more than halfway through the duration of our campaign! With that, we want to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated or shared our campaign for the past month and a half. We are currently at 39% of our goal, with every donation allowing us to support each paddler on our team in regards to the Vancouver race and further helping us improve our team. With 22 days left in our campaign, we want to reach out to you all and ask for your help in growing our audience by sharing this campaign. There is still time to help our team reach our goal!
