Hi everyone,
We finally hit $10,000! We are incredibly grateful to our many supporters, who share our values in the significant connections and experiences that the Anteater Formula Racing project brings to our engineering students. The campaign still does not close for another 2 days, so any additional donations will go towards building our car and transporting the team to the 2022 FSAE competition in Lincoln, Nebraska.
We are excited to share a video that our team has compiled to show what the project means to them. With your help, each student has been able to gain numerous hands-on experiences and to develop various skills that will push them to their fullest potential and succeed in the engineering field.
Thank you for your continued support!
Hi everyone! Due to popular requests, we opened an additional extension to our Zotfunder until Friday, April 22.
Our team has recently come back from Spring Break and is in the process of polishing up the 3-view master CAD drawings, design review, and business cost presentation for the competition to submit by the end of this month. The chassis has also been finally removed from the jig, taking us one step further to racing at the competition.
We are SO close to our goal with only 10 days left! Every dollar counts, we're only a few hundred away from our goal of $10,000. With your donation, we will have enough to rent a trailer to transport our vehicle and allow our engineering students to compete in the annual FSAE 2022 competition.
We are beyond grateful for the amount of support we’ve received throughout these past couple of months. This project has been an amazing experience for the students to gain hands-on experience and develop professional skills that will aid them in their future careers.
Without you all, we would not be where we are today. Thank you again to all of our donors and supporters, we appreciate all of your support in fostering the next generation of engineers.
Hello everyone! Great news -- we've extended our Zotfunder! There are now 11 additional days left. We decided to extend our campaign for several reasons, one being that we now have to rent a trailer to move our vehicle to competition, but chief among them being that our campaign has gotten so much support! We're only a few hundred away from our goal of $10,000!
Thanks again to all of our donors and to those that will support us in these next couple weeks!
We're 90% of the way to our final goal of $10,000 with a day left in our campaign! We want to extend a huge thank you to our current donors and supporters through this campaign. Your support is vital in the creation of Peter the Pavement Eater, and your backing is propelling us towards the competition.
Here's to the final day of our campaign! Any donations towards our final push would further help us in getting PPE to competition!
Thanks again from everyone at AFR!
Thank you so much to our donors for getting us to 78% of our fundraising goal! This past week, we’ve been able to purchase the following items:
Our chassis is about 80% done, and after we get the tabs on it we can take it out of the jig! Our engine wasn’t running for three long months, but with our EWP80 electric water pump sponsored by Davies Craig, we’ve brought our car back to life. Since our water pump is now functional, our next step is to run several static rpm tests on it to see how it will react to the live engine, making adjustments as needed. When this is done, we can decommission Jinx and implement all of powertrain (with our cooling lines) into Peter the Pavement Eater! Our Aerodynamics team has laser-cut the profiles of PPE’s nosecone and are using a high-density foam to fill in the gaps, which will then be sanded down and covered with body filler in preparation for the final layup.
In administrative news, we’ve also tentatively booked our lodging for the competition in Michigan for about a dozen of our members! We also are preparing for our winter design review with the school of engineering.
Somehow, we’re in the final week of our fundraiser! Looking back, we are so incredibly grateful for the donations we’ve received. With your help, we’re still making steady progress on Peter the Pavement Eater and hope to have the car together and running in the next month!
From everyone at Anteater Formula Racing, thank you again!
Thank you so much to our donors for getting us to 50% of our fundraising goal! We’re halfway there already! With the influx of donations we’ve gotten the past week to our ZotFunder, we’ve been able to purchase the following items:
Our team has been working hard to finalize the design of this year’s car; it is almost done! Most sub-teams are already in the manufacturing phase, with finishing welding the chassis as our top priority to move forward. In these next few weeks, the team is planning to purchase the following:
We have a lot to work on before Peter the Pavement Eater is ready to eat some pavement, but with your continued support we will make P.P.E. the best car we’ve produced to date!
From everyone at Anteater Formula Racing, thank you again!
Thank you for your support! Your contribution gets us one step closer to the finish line. A donation of this size would help us greatly in purchasing items such as hardware, drill bits, and angle grinder blades.
We greatly appreciate every fan - we could not do this without your support! A donation of this size would allow us to purchase items like resin for carbon fiber layups and supplies required for welding, including gas mixtures, welding wire, or personal protective equipment.
You stand out as one of our most passionate supporters! We cannot thank you enough! A donation this size could help us pay for small laser cutting orders like for our brake rotors, or one of our tires.
This contribution goes a long way to help us build and test our car. Thank you so much! A donation of this size would allow us to purchase two wheels or two tires.
Your gift makes a huge difference in building a successful car! A donation of $1000 would be incredibly beneficial for the team and would equate to the purchase of all four tires, a professional engine tune, or travel expenses for 2-3 of our crucial members to attend the competition in Michigan (June).
Wow! Thank you so much. Your support is absolutely pivotal for us in the production of our car. Due to our inability to have complex items machined in-house, a donation of this size would allow us to have parts machined by external companies and buy spare parts for testing or in case of breakage. A donation this size could also cover travel expenses of our crucial members to the competition in Michigan, allowing for more hands on deck during competition.
