Anteater Racing is a senior design project program from the Henry Samueli School of Engineering at the University of California, Irvine. Our program designs, builds, and competes with vehicles in Collegiate Design Series competitions hosted by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE International). Currently, we are in the process of building three new vehicles for the 2017 competition season:
This program strives to give engineering students at UCI the chance to work in a fun, fast-paced learning environment to get hands-on engineering experience. Students learn the engineering design process, manufacturing techniques, and team work skills that will greatly benefit them as they venture out into their careers. With your help, we can create a bright future for these engineering students by giving them the opportunity to make their designs come to life.
The BAJA SAE team of engineering students work to design, build, and validate a rugged single seat off-road vehicle. The prototype vehicle competes against 100 other teams in April where it will encounter rocks, ditches, jumps, logs and a 4-hour long endurance race! Come out to Gorman, CA and watch us RACE!
We expect to get muddy on competition day!

This year’s Formula SAE car, codenamed "Mantis", is based on the design of the previous vehicle, Savage 2 - but we have made many significant changes. The center of gravity will be lowered substantially and the entire suspension system will be dramatically improved with the addition of front and rear ant-roll bars and new geometry. We are certain that Mantis will be the highest performance and best placing FSAE vehicle ever produced by the Anteater Racing team. We will find out when we compete in Lincoln, Nebraska in June!

UCI began the process of building an electric racecar to compete in the FSAE Electric competition back in 2014 with the then-vehicle "Zeta". In previous years, we have had difficulty creating a working electrical system for the FSAE Electric competition.Since then, we have moved through another iteration, "Electra", and into our current project, "Thor". This year, the focus of the car is a rules compliant electrical system. "Thor" will be competing in Lincoln, NE in June!

This donation will help go a long way for our team! Thank you for your support!
We are racing our way to the finish line with your contribution! Thank you for your donation.
With your help, we are able to get hands on experience while manufacturing the intricate pieces to put our vehicles together! Thank you for your generosity.
Through this donation, you are fostering the growth of the worlds next generation of engineers!
Race cars are precise pieces of engineering. With your donation we are able to creates works of art that show the heart and hard work of our Anteater Engineers.
